AI didn't take everyone's job. It took some, quietly, while the rest of us were still arguing about whether it could. PostEmployed is income protection and reskilling for the people who'd rather not find out the hard way.

This is a transition, not an apocalypse.
Labour markets reprice themselves slowly — until they don't. In the first ten weeks of 2026, Australian tech firms eliminated more jobs than in all of 2025 combined, and every single cut was attributed to AI. WiseTech cut 30% of its workforce. Atlassian cut 1,600. Sydney now ranks third globally for tech layoffs. Meanwhile, Australian income protection insurance does not cover redundancy — only illness or injury. Forty-three percent of Australians have less than $1,000 in their bank account (ME Bank Households' Financial Comfort Report). The median job search takes 14 weeks (SEEK Research). If your role is automated next quarter, the maths don't work. That's why we're building this.

Income Protection
Australian income protection insurance does not pay out for redundancy — only illness or injury. Standalone redundancy cover, where it exists, caps at roughly three months. The median Australian job search takes 14 weeks. The cover we're trying to build addresses the actual gap: AI-driven displacement, with benefit periods that reflect how long searches actually take. In partnership with a licensed insurer; subject to availability and underwriting.
- Covers AI-driven redundancy, not just illness or injury
- Cover periods built for a real job search

Reskilling
Workers with AI fluency command an average 56% wage premium (PwC AI Jobs Barometer). We teach the skills that compound — AI literacy, judgment, communication, and the cross-disciplinary work that machines still can't do alone. Practical modules built for working professionals with mortgages, not undergrads with time to spare.
- Curriculum mapped to roles that are actually growing
- Short modules for evenings and weekends
- Included for income protection members
Insurance launches in partnership with a licensed insurer and is subject to availability and underwriting. PostEmployed itself does not underwrite insurance.

Reasonable questions, answered.
- No. Australian income protection insurance covers illness and injury — not job loss. The few products that include 'involuntary unemployment' cover typically pay out for three months, capped well below replacement income, and usually exclude AI-driven restructuring by design. PostEmployed exists because that gap is the entire problem.
- Not yet. We're validating demand before partnering with a licensed insurer — that's exactly what this waitlist is for. If we hit our target, we expect to launch in late 2026. PostEmployed itself does not underwrite insurance; all products launch in partnership with a licensed carrier and are subject to regulatory approval and underwriting.
- The legal minimum in Australia is around 12 weeks of base pay after a decade of service — less for shorter tenures. After tax and time, most packages are gone before you find the next role. Our cover sits alongside any package you're entitled to, not instead of it.
- That depends entirely on demand. Our working target is enough signups to walk into an insurer conversation with credibility. We'll publish our progress to the waitlist as we go — you won't be left wondering.
- We'll tell you. We won't have charged you anything, and we'll be transparent about why. The whole point of validating demand first is that it's a two-way commitment — we're asking you to signal interest before we've built it, and in return we owe you honesty.
- Initial launch is Australia and New Zealand, where our founding team is based and the regulatory path is clearest. International signups are welcome — we'll prioritise by waitlist density as we expand.
